Guardians was started as a pet project in 1992 before I really got into the internet. It began as a human-based story, but they have both since forked to become two projects - one, a graphic novel called Guardians about animals, and the other a book called Sirist, featuring humans only. When I first started Guardians it was based off of a dream I had - I added my own little tidbits that have now evolved since from the musings of a seven year old.

The graphic novel now encompasses its own world, from society and religion, to elements and powers.

Why animals?

Simple. When I was a child,

I made up human-based stories

but I could only draw animals, not humans.

I also had more fun drawing animals

back then and it kind of

snowballed from there.
